Grim is a 7-year-old, 76-pound, black neutered male Lab with the perfect blend of playful energy and easygoing charm. Don’t let the number “7” fool you — this handsome guy still has that classic Lab enthusiasm for life.
Grim was heartbreakingly surrendered when his human family began having children and no longer had time for him. Through no fault of his own, he’s now looking for a home that will make him a priority again. What he wants most is simple: to be someone’s loyal sidekick again.
This boy loves his toys. Whether he’s proudly carrying one around in his mouth like a prized possession or enthusiastically “disassembling” a stuffed toy with impressive focus, toys are his happy place.
While he loves to play, Grim is wonderfully balanced. When it’s time for fun, he’s all in. When it’s time for the humans to work or it’s time to wind down, he settles easily. During work-from-home days, he’s happy to snooze nearby, keeping you company without demanding constant attention. At night, he sleeps soundly on his dog bed — or the human bed if invited — and settles in like a pro. He simply enjoys being close to his people.
Grim absolutely adores his humans and prefers to keep them within sight. He’s the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and thrives on companionship. Car rides? He’s in. Long walks? Even better. A fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and enjoy a good play session would be a dream.
He is dog-friendly and would likely enjoy having a canine companion to romp with. He would thrive either in a home with another playful dog and/or with a fenced yard and a committed human who will make time for daily play and interaction.
Grim is looking for a home where he won’t be an afterthought — where he’ll be included, loved, and appreciated for the loyal, joyful companion he is. If you’re searching for a steady best friend who can match your energy and your downtime, Grim might just be your perfect match. 🐾
