Petra is a playful, loving pup with a big personality! She absolutely loves a good game of tug-of-war and takes her yard patrol duties seriously — especially when it comes to picking up sticks (returning them is still under negotiation 😄).

After losing her mom, Petra was lovingly bottle-fed, which made her extra bonded to people. Being held is one of her favorite things, and she thrives on affection and close snuggles. She’s a sweet girl ready to bring love, fun, and loyalty to her forever family.

Vet references and personal references verified, verify home ownership or rental and ability to adopt

Virtual or in person

Approve Application

Send out approval with information on canine, need to electronically sign. Adoption agreement. Review all aspects of the adoption agreeement

Pay Fee

Adoption donation accepted, welcome letter emailed with educational information to welcome your new dog home. Transport arranged

6.
Take the Pet Home

Adopters receive all vetting documentation and a welcome home goodie bag for new fur friend

Northbound Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting primarily independent rescuers in rural North Western Mississippi. With many of these communities battling overpopulation, low local adoption rates and climbing medical bills, Northbound Rescue forms a partnership with these rescuers to assist them with medical care, fundraising, transport and rescue efforts in the Northeast.
