My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

  • NAME: Kyrie (Male)    Approx Birth Date: 09/15/2025

    BREED:  Domestic Short Hair

KYRIE  was named after Kyrie Irving, Dallas Mavericks. He was born to a feral mother cat probably 9/2025, and appeared on the back porch in a rainstorm at about 5 weeks of age with two siblings.  Kyrie is a beautiful mix of gray tabby on top and white on lower half.  With a white triangle on his face, he looks like he cut his own bangs the day before school pictures.  He is chill, intuitive, observant (maybe too much so) and always up for a good time!  He likes to watch Coach Cal’s sideline activity while the Razorbacks are on TV and he tends to sit too close to the TV.  He also likes to swipe peppermint from the candy dish to use them like hockey pucks.  He is the epitome of a cool cat and will be a great companion!

THIS CAT IS LOCATED IN CENTRAL ARKANSAS.

    *THIS CAT IS NOT HYPOALLERGENIC*

    LITTER BOX TRAINED:  Yes

VETTING DONE:  Age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, flea preventative, FIV/Felv tested, spayed/neutered, rabies and microchipped.

GETS ALONG WITH OTHER CATS/DOGS?  Yes with other cats after a slow introduction and possibly ok with cat friendly dogs after a slow introduction.

    CHILDREN?  Good with well-mannered children

    SPECIAL NEEDS:  N/A

OUT OF STATE/OUT OF AREA?  We do not arrange transport or ship.  Please be willing and able to make plans to personally acquire this pet.

More about this rescue

CLAWS is an incorporated 501(c)3 non-profit organization, operated 100% by volunteers with 30+ years of collective experience. We have a cooperative team of foster homes dedicated to rescue, fostering, healing, and spay/neutering cats and kittens, then adopting them into forever homes where they are cherished family members for the rest of their lives. We do not have a physical, single-location shelter facility.

CLAWS: Cats Lives Are Worth Saving is committed to investing our expertise and resources in order to further achieve our cause. Since 2018, we have been supporting our community in a variety of ways and measuring our success not by size, but by more qualitative measurements such as the scale and effectiveness of our efforts.

CLAWS if primarily based in central Arkansas, but we do adopt cats to residents of the northeast US, mostly to Rhode Island and Connecticut. Due to state licensing and health department regulations, we are unable at this time to adopt cats to residents of Massachusetts. The cats adopted to northeast homes are sent via established, registered, and fully licensed pet transport agencies.
