. Ruth is a 2-year-old, 60-lb Boxer/Black Mouth Cur mix with a gentle heart and an incredibly smart mind. Before rescue, she survived on her own for at least 6 months in an industrial area, skillfully avoiding capture while kind mechanics made sure she had food. 
That survival intelligence still shines through today.
Even when scared, she has never shown aggression — only quiet caution. She’s shy, observant, and deeply gentle. 
At home, she’s a quiet shadow, content to lounge nearby while her foster mom works and zooms. 
She needs a patient, committed adopter with a secure fenced yard, experience with fearful dogs, and safety tools like GPS collars and double leashes. Local adoption preferred, but the perfect Northeastern candidate might be worth the trip.
