Meet Fona
• Age: 6 months
• Sex: Spayed Female
• Breed: Mixed
• Color: Brown / Black
• Weight: 5 kg (11 lbs)
• Height: 29 cm (shoulder height)
Rescue Story
Fona entered a city shelter in September alongside Hanee and her littermate Peri. She is believed to be Hanee’s puppy. Thankfully, she now has a second chance at finding a loving forever home.
Social with People
Fona can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly — especially if you offer treats! Once she feels comfortable, she allows petting and handling easily, including being picked up with an arm under her belly.
She has met children under 13 and showed little reaction — calm and neutral. When she bonds with you, she sweetly rolls over to show her belly.
Social with Other Dogs
Fona is friendly and affectionate with other dogs. She approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to greet and invite them to play.
She plays best with dogs of similar size or lower energy levels and tends to avoid very high-energy dogs. She is friendly toward all dogs and gets along well with her sibling, Peri.
She does not show strong dependency on other dogs but has always lived with them, so she may initially feel a little unsure if she is the only dog in the home.
With Cats
Her reaction to cats has not yet been observed, but a cat test can be arranged upon request.
Energy Level
Fona has a low energy level. She enjoys resting calmly and has a gentle, quiet personality.
During the initial adjustment period, she may chew or tear pee pads due to stress, but this is typically temporary as she settles in.
Walks
She has not yet had proper leash-walking experience. When leash pressure is applied, she may freeze. She will need patient and consistent leash training to build confidence outdoors.
Additional Notes
• No food guarding toward people or dogs
• No separation anxiety observed
• Very quiet — rarely barks
• Calm in a kennel
• Currently uses both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty
• Has not yet eliminated during walks
Fona is a gentle, calm puppy who would thrive in a patient home willing to guide her through her first true “family” experience. With love and reassurance, she will blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion.
