My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Summer aka Sumo. This silky tuxedo came to us after a vet tech from union vet/kew gardens vet abandoned him with our rescue. What we thought was a 2 week offer to foster while she tried to find placement for him turned into her dumping him on us and walking away. We could have returned him to the vet office, however her plan was to take him to ACC.
Although I had made it clear we were not taking on any cats at the time, we are happy to have him and save him from an unknown fate.
Sumo is 4 years old. He's incredibly social and will greet you when you come in the door. He will chat you up about the day and then curl up with you at night.
He's very good at entertaining himself with his toys. But he is also fascinated by birds and opossums and really wants a window where he can study them.
He is good with other cats, but can also be your one and only.
Sumo is fully vetted and ready for his true furever home.

More about this rescue

The primary goal of Lucky Black Cats of Mew York is to foster and find homes for black cats who are statistically the least likely to be adopted and most likely to be euthanized.
Although focusing on black cats is our main goal, we help any cat in need. Lucky Black Cats of Mew York. We don't discriminate.
