FOR ADOPTION: MAGIC is a stunning and unique, approximately 2 year old, female looking for a fun forever family. This pretty lady was found as a stray in a rural area and never claimed. The wonderful woman that found her held onto her until we had space at the shelter and got her up to date on her vetting before sending her to us. Magic is a bold, confident and friendly girl that is looking for a loving and interactive family. Magic is happy to be held and cuddled but also wants to be involved in everything you do at home. Cooking dinner, she will supervise. Folding laundry, she will offer emotional support. Walking from room to room, she will escort you. When you’re settled in a room for awhile Magic may spend a fair amount of time exploring around it and she does have a fun, playful side when she is not being snuggled. Magic is a human’s cat and would be perfectly happy as an only pet where she gets 100% of the attention. That being said she is indifferent towards other animals and could easily share space with other respectful animals. All she asks is they be prepared to share the humans lap at snuggle time or that there are multiple laps for the animals to choose between. Magic has been doing quite well indoor only at the shelter and she could continue in that environment quite happily. She could also do well indoor/outdoor in a safe environment. Adult animals are all spayed or neutered before adoption and all puppies/kittens are required to be spayed or neutered as soon as they are old enough. Potential adopters must be willing to travel to Smithers to pick up their new pet.

Run a Spay and Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP): We work with Babine Pet Hospital and BV Vet Clinic to provide financial help to individuals and families who cannot afford the full cost of spaying or neutering their pets
Spay and Neuter Education
Humane Animal Education and visits to local schools
Pet health care counselling; training referrals
Complimentary lost and found postings on our website and Facebook page
Provide free feral mousers to responsible farmers upon request
