Flerken was left behind when his family moved away, surviving all alone on the streets and getting beat up by the other neighborhood cats. He found his way to Richardsons through some kind-hearted neighbors who saw that he desperately needed help.
Because of his traumatic abandonment, Flerken is fearful & slow to trust (and who can blame him?!). He will need a very special, gentle, patient adopter who is willing to put in some long-term work to gain his shattered trust and earn his love. Do you have what it takes to change his life? (Spoiler: it only takes time, patience, Churus, and love).
After 2 months in foster care, Flerken is blossoming into quite the loverboy with his foster mom, who he simply adores. Hey Flerken, it's mutual! Foster Mom loves his chubby cheeks, his gentle head-butts, and his feathery little purr.
While Flerken is a big scaredy baby right now, he has the makings of an absolute velcro cat! Once he trust you, he likes to follow you everywhere and wants to cuddle and roll around and make biscuits all the time. Under all his fear, he is really a big softy who just wants to be loved and will take as many pets as you are willing to give him!
Flerken would do best in a quiet home with no children. He did have a cat friend when he was at headquarters so he could probably be eventually integrated into a multi-cat household after a period of decompression & introduction.
