Kona came into the shelter as a stray, and while the shelter is scary and overwhelming for him, this sweet boy is slowly showing everyone who he really is.
He may be timid at first, but once he feels safe, Kona’s tail starts to wag and his gentle personality shines through. He is dog-friendly, walks on a leash with encouragement, loves treats, and his favorite thing is simply laying beside you and feeling calm and safe.
Kona doesn’t need much — just someone patient enough to give him a chance to decompress and realize he’s finally safe. The shelter environment is not where he can truly blossom… and sadly, his time is running out.
