My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We are reaching out to the dog-loving community to find a safe and happy home for our loveable dog Gambit. My wife unfortunately developed a severe allergy and we can no longer keep him.

Gambit is a 4-year-old male (mixed breed rescue) who is incredibly sweet and affectionate with his person. He loves cuddles and bonding time and truly wants to feel safe and connected. As an adoptee, he is naturally anxious and can be fearful in new situations.

Important details about Gambit:
Struggles with separation anxiety
Nervous with strangers at first and can appear intimidating, but warms up fairly quickly
Moderate prey drive toward cats and small dogs
Would do best as the only pet and or with kids (possibly okay with a calm, larger dogs)
Highly intelligent and extremely protective
Would do best with an experienced owner who understands body language and fear-based behaviors
He completed formal boarded e-collar training at around 9 months old, but it has not been consistently maintained.
