My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bruno 🐾

Bruno is a 5-year-old neutered male Pug/Beagle mix with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. Bruno came into our care as a surrendered , and while his past wasn’t ideal, his future is full of promise.

For most of the last five years, Bruno lived upstairs alone while a daycare operated in the basement below. He had very little human interaction, and as a result, he missed out on some of the everyday learning that comes from living closely with people. Despite this, Bruno has remained remarkably friendly, affectionate, and eager to connect — a true testament to his resilient spirit.

Bruno does his business outdoors, but he may still have some indoor accidents, which is completely understandable given his history. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, Bruno has every reason to continue improving as he adjusts to life as a loved family member.

As a Pug/Beagle mix, Bruno brings together some wonderful traits from both breeds:

From the Beagle side, he is curious, energetic, and loves being part of the action

From the Pug side, he is people-oriented, affectionate, and thrives on companionship

Bruno loves humans of all ages and does well with dogs his size or smaller. He’s an energetic, happy guy who would do best in a home ready to give him the attention, guidance, and love he’s been missing. A bonus would be a person to play tug-of-war with!

Bruno’s adoption fee is $400, which includes:

Neuter

Microchip

If you’re interested in meeting Bruno, please visit www.mjhs.ca, click the Adopt tab, then Adoptable Animals, and scroll to his handsome face to submit your application. Once your application has been approved, we’ll contact you to arrange a meet-and-greet so you can spend some time getting to know Bruno and ensure he’s the right fit for your home. There is no obligation to complete the adoption after meeting him.

Bruno is ready to experience what it means to truly be part of a family — and he can’t wait to meet the people who will show him just how good life can be 🐶💛
