My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Hey YOU. Yes, You. Stop Scrolling.
Hi.
I'm Pernille-apparently named after a character in a book (don't ask me which one, I can't read... yet). I'm a 7‑month‑old feline extraordinaire, and I was unceremoniously dropped off in Quesnel with a whole gaggle of other cats. Most of them got adopted at lightning speed-which is great for them, I guess-but here I am, still waiting for my perfect person.
Now, between us?
I'm not exactly the "run‑up-to-you-and-purr-like-a-lawnmower" type. Not at first, anyway. People still kinda freak me out, and honestly, after how I ended up here... can you blame me?
But here's the deal:
I want to trust.
I want to feel safe.
I want someone who understands that good things-like me-take time.
If you're patient, gentle, and the type who speaks "cat introvert," we might be a match made in whiskery heaven.
A tiny request though:
No small children, please. Their hands are fast, their voices are loud, and I prefer my space until I decide you're worthy of my royal presence.
Give me time, offer me kindness, and let me bloom at my own pace-and I promise I'll reward you with quiet companionship, slow‑blink love, and the honor of being my chosen human.
So what do you think?
Ready to give a slightly shy but endlessly charming girl her happily‑ever‑after?
Love,
Pernille 🐾

The Chilliwack Branch is an Animal Protection Centre for pets who have been rescued from abusive or neglectful homes. The Centre is open to the public by appointment only due to the security issues associated with housing animals awaiting the outcome of legal proceedings. We will accept surrendered animals by appointment only, and we are open for adoptions on special occasions.
