My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Boomer - your new best friend! 🐶💙

Boomer is a sweet, happy-go-lucky boy who's ready to bring tons of love and energy into his forever home! 🌟 This handsome guy is active, playful, and always up for an adventure - whether it's a game of fetch, a long walk, or backyard zoomies! 🎾🏃‍♂️

Boomer is also house trained 🏡✨. Boomer will need slow proper introduction to other dog friend's as he's very curious but has slight reactivity.🐕🐕

Boomer is a big sweetheart 💕 who loves meeting new people and making friends wherever he goes. He does get a little excited on walks and can pull on the leash 🚶‍♂️🐾, but with some continued training and consistency, he'll keep improving like the smart boy he is!

One thing to note: Boomer can be protective of his food and high-value treats around other dogs 🍖⚠️. Because of this, he'll do best with supervised feeding times or in a home that understands how to manage this behavior to set him up for success.

Age: 2 years

Personality: Sweet, outgoing, friendly

Good with: Kids.

If you're looking for a loving, playful, loyal companion who will fill your days with tail wags and smiles, Boomer is your guy! 🐾💙 Come meet him and see just how special he is! ✨🐶

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
