LeVar is the sweetest boy!! He loves to lay on your lap and is a purr baby!! LeVar does great with other cats, but despite being in a foster home with dogs he is not a fan of them. LeVar gave us a scare shortly after his neuter where he crashed and had to be hospitalized for 3 days in intensive care with oxygen and heat support. He went into kidney failure. Our vets are unsure if he got a virus after being neutered and it attacked his kidneys or if his body didn’t handle anesthesia well and that caused kidney failure. After a couple months in foster care with frequent vet checks and only being fed canned kitten food his kidneys have bounced back to normal levels much to the surprise of his vets. Due to this scare adopters need to be aware that putting him under anesthesia could be risky and their veterinarian will need to take extra precautions. It is also advised that he has at least annual if not bi-annual blood work done to ensure his kidney values stay in the normal range. Feeding a primarily canned food diet is preferred also.
Estimated DOB: 9/3/25
Adoption fee: $100 (6% KY sales tax included)
