My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Garfield a gentle, affectionate boy who came to us as a transfer from one of our partner rescues. He recently had one of his legs amputated due to spindle cell sarcoma, and he’s been incredibly brave through it all.
Despite everything he’s been through, Garfield is pure sweetness. He adores people, leans into affection, and is ready to start the next chapter of his life with someone who will cherish him.
What to Know
- Has three legs and gets around beautifully
- Amputation was performed due to spindle cell sarcoma
- Friendly, loving, and eager for companionship
Garfield is searching for his forever home one that sees past his missing limb and recognizes the wonderful, resilient companion he truly is. He’s ready to give his whole heart to the person who gives him a chance.

Go meet their pets

Our pets are currently in foster homes as well as we have a program with the local women's prison. With the prison the animals live in the room with the inmate handler and receive socialization and training. We have just recently added dogs to our program with the prison. Generally the pets are brought to our office for their meet and greets and adoptions. We also partner with Ziggy's Cat Lounge in Bremerton for our cats and kittens.

More about this rescue

We are a small but mighty Humane Society serving an underserved county with adoption, spay and neuter, wellness, stray recovery, and other animal related services. Currently we are all foster as we don't have a shelter yet, but we have a 5 acre parcel we are going to build a shelter on. We have started the planning process with Shelter Planners of America.
