My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Peanut, a delightful adult cat who came to us as a stray. Peanut's personality is a blend of friendliness, curiosity, and intelligence, making her a joy to interact with. She loves exploring her surroundings and is always eager to engage in playful activities or learn new tricks. Peanut's smart nature ensures she's quick to figure out puzzles and games, providing endless entertainment. Adopting Peanut means bringing a loving and vibrant spirit into your home, ready to offer companionship and affection.

All our animals have age-appropriate vaccinations and are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV before adoption. Adoption fees for all cats are $200 and $300 for a pair! Direct link to adoption application: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=MFNXQGKR

More about this rescue

The idea for Kizzy's Place began after 4 animal advocates, who had been involved in cat rescue for a while, were inspired to combine efforts. Each wanted to help a cat named Kizzy, who was on the urgent list at a local shelter, but each realized that they could not help Kizzy alone. Kizzy needed immediate transportation from the shelter, funds for a vet visit, and an experienced foster home in which he could recuperate from URI, a tall order. So after talking about it communally, the advocates each handled a piece of the operation, resulting in a successful rescue effort! The new friends noted that rescue groups sometimes need a little extra help, like a foster, transporter, or private donor, to assist them in doing their noble work. Also, they recognized that individual animal rescuers sometimes need the wider reach of an organized rescue group to help get their adoptable animals noticed by potential adopters. This is what Kizzy’s Place provides, a network of friends to mutually assist each other!

We are a registered 501(c)3 non profit that matches homeless animals with their forever homes!
