My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gelato !

Gelato is a big, handsome boy with an even bigger heart. This sweet guy is absolutely full of love and isn’t shy about sharing it! He’s quite the chatterbox and will happily “talk” your ear off until he gets the attention he so rightfully deserves. If you’re looking for a cat who will greet you with conversation and keep you company throughout the day, Gelato is your guy.

Mornings are his favorite time — especially when his wet food is involved! He gets adorably excited when breakfast is served and will make sure you know just how grateful (and hungry!) he is.

Gelato has previously lived in a home with other cats and would likely do well with a feline companion. He doesn’t mind sharing his space, as long as he gets his fair share of love and attention, of course.

If you’re ready to welcome a big bundle of affection, personality, and sweet serenades into your life, Gelato is waiting to melt your heart.

FMAR felines are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for age-appropriate shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
