If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We adopted Copper from the humane society in September 2024. We have crate and house trained him and he does really well most of the time. He does get separation anxiety sometimes and will break out of the cage occasionally but with a stronger cage he should be perfectly fine. He does veryyyy well with cats. Not good with other dogs and decent with children but he has nipped before when he got stressed out. We tried our best to make him work for our family because he’s a very sweet and loving dog but it’s just not working out. We hate to rehome him and love him very much. Our hope is to find someone who has the ability to stay home more than being out and has a yard for him to get his energy out in a healthy environment. He loves long walks and cuddling on the couch and especially loves getting treats. He has a tendency to try to take human food that’s left on the counter. All in all he’s loyal and sweet and would just do better being an only dog with someone who has no kids.
