I am proud to report that I am doing amazing at night now. I’ve retired from my part-time job of howling at the moon 🌙 and I don’t even need a crate. I don’t jump on the bed either; I lay right beside it like the respectful tall queen that I am, close enough to supervise but not invading your mattress space. Slow motion does not exist in my world. It’s zoomies, tug-of-war championships, squirrel surveillance, and then professional couch cuddling. I can sleep curled up like a tiny cinnamon roll, but the second you say my name, I am fully spring-loaded 😳 When it comes to food I am respectful…ish. I wait for my bowl like a lady and I am working very hard on “wait,” but the second it touches the ground I dive in like it’s the Olympics 🥇
I love people. Like really love people. Personal space is not required. If you sit down, I’m there. If you stand up, I’m there. If you breathe, I am probably there too. Scratches are my love language, attention is my currency, and excitement is my entire brand. I know sit, I go into my kennel to eat like a polite lady, and I am not a troublemaker. I am a perfect angel who occasionally dusts the furniture with my never-ending tail wag. When I sleep, I am dreaming about the next cookie I’m going to steal 🍪 I also enjoy country music; it speaks to my soul 🎶
Cold weather? Doesn’t bother me. I am built for adventure ❄️ I need fun, things to do, toys to toss, dogs to tug with, and a yard to run laps in at top speed. My body may take up two couch cushions, but I promise I fill them with love 💕 I bounce in my kennel when you come home because you are the best part of my day. I will supervise your cooking, inspect the counters, and love you with every hyper little cell in my body 🥰 Cats are still a mystery. Squirrels are absolutely not and must be chased immediately 😳

Approve Application
The adoption application is assigned to screening team and carefully screened. If application meets acceptable criteria it is then approved.

Meet the Pet
Meet and greets are scheduled after an adoption application is approved. All family members and dogs in home must attend the meet and greet.

Sign Adoption Contract
If meet and greet goes well the pet can then be taken home for an adoption trial.

R.E.A.L Rottweiler Rescue was founded in 2003 by a couple with a passion and love for the Rottweiler breed. We are an all volunteer based 501c3 non-profit rescue organization. Our primary focus has been on Rottweilers, but we also rescue medium and large sized dogs of all breeds. We take in homeless rottweilers and work with them in our homes to assess personality, temperament, training and needs. Then place them up for adoption. Our goal is to find not just any home for each dog, but the perfect match for both the dog and its new family. To date, R.E.A.L. has had over 2000 successful adoptions!
