Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Euchre & Canasta are a charming duo with two very different personalities that complement each other perfectly. Canasta, the orange tabby, is the more outgoing of the pair and is usually the first to step forward to say hello. He’s friendly, curious, and ready to make new friends, happily soaking up attention and affection.
Euchre, the long-haired black beauty, prefers to hang back and take things in from a safe distance. He’s still very shy and timid, but with patience, love, and a calm home, he has so much potential to blossom. Together, they make a sweet pair—one confident and social, the other gentle and reserved—both hoping to find a home where they can feel safe, loved, and truly at ease. 🐾🖤🧡

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is proud to be a no-kill animal welfare agency. We are committed to finding great homes for great pets! As a 501(c)(3) nonproft, we receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from individuals, companies and grants to fund our programs and services. We are not affiliated with any other animal agency on a local, state or national level. Since 1902, our organization has been devoted to being a voice for the voiceless. Although we proudly find more than 2,000 animals forever homes every year, we are far more than an adoption center. We currently have a wide array of programs to support animals in our community. Through our high-volume spay and neuter clinic, we are able to help pet owners as well as battle cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return. Our humane society agents also work tirelessly to protect pets from cruel and neglectful circumstances through our Cruelty & Neglect Investigations Department. Through our Veterinary Hospital, we can provide top-quality access to veterinary care at a low cost to pet owners. In addition to our many programs, our organization is unique because we are the only agency in the community able to handle all types of animals. This includes cats and dogs but also rabbits, birds, farm animals, pocket pets and exotics. Our organization is committed to providing our community, our state and our region with support and care.
