If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We brought Cooper home as a foster, in response to a heat advisory at the shelter this past summer. He was covered in bite marks, emaciated and exhausted. He weighed 14 lbs. He was listed as hound mix, but DNA tests revealed that he is a Shepard (51%) mix. He is smart and funny and just wants to please. He loves to chase cats. He does NOT harm them. We think he just wants to play. The other issue is our own fault, we have a tiny backyard and this boy LOVES being outside. If you have squirrels running around, it would be his dream home! We love him and will make every effort to accommodate a loving placement. We are attempting to rehome him so he has a bigger space to roam (he’s a trotter!). He loves to play and enjoys other dogs! He is almost a year old, has all shots, flea control and a crate.
