My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rosie

Rosie is a sweet, middle-aged lady with a gentle heart who’s ready to trade shelter life for a calm, cozy forever home. Born on 5/1/2018, this beautiful girl was surrendered when the hustle and bustle of living with dogs became too overwhelming for her. Because of that, Rosie is looking for a peaceful home where she can be your one and only — the queen of her castle

She’s spayed, fully vetted, and up to date on all vaccines — all she’s missing is YOU!

Rosie would thrive in a low-key environment where she can relax, feel safe, and soak up all the love without the stress of other animals. She can’t wait to stretch out in a sunny window, curl up beside her favorite person, and finally enjoy the quiet life she deserves.

Ready to meet Rosie?
Submit a pet application online at eastshoreha.org. With an approved application on file, we can facilitate same-day adoptions!

Once you’ve applied, stop by during our walk-in cat viewing hours:
Mondays: 12pm–5pm
Fridays: 12pm–6pm

Rosie is counting down the days until she can leave the shelter behind and settle into a loving forever home. Could that home be yours?

Additional adoption info

Before You Adopt: Please consider these factors before filling out an application:

1. Animals are expensive to care for. They require food, shelter, toys, grooming, and veterinary health and dental care.

2. Animals require attention. You have to clean up after their messes, protect them from anything that might harm them, and make sure they get adequate play time and exercise. Some require training, which takes patience, love, and commitment.

Adopting a Friend: Adopter will fill out an application to start the adoption process. We don't adopt on a first come, first served basis, but instead adopt based on what we feel is in the animal's best interest. We DO NOT ship animals.

Adoption Requirements:

1. Have verifiable identification

2. Be at least 18 years of age

3. If renting, have landlords consent to bring a pet to your home

4. All adopted pets must be spayed or neutered

5. All pets must leave the shelter on a collar and leash, or in a pet carrier

6. Agree to all terms of the adoption contract; ESHA reserves the right to deny any application
