My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Big Handsome Boy — the name is not an exaggeration. This large, luxurious tuxedo gentleman looks like he walked straight out of a black-tie gala and decided to stay for the snacks.

Found abandoned at an apartment complex, he clearly didn’t get the memo that he’s royalty. Thankfully, his caretaker stepped in, and it didn’t take long for this big guy to realize he was finally safe. Once he trusts you, he melts. We’re talking full-on chin-scratch connoisseur, head-bonk enthusiast, professional attention sponge.

BHB can be a little shy when meeting new people — think “strong, silent type” rather than “life of the party.” But give him a minute and you’ll see his guard drop, his shoulders relax, and his sweet, affectionate side shine through. He gets along well with other cats and even dogs. He’d do best in a home with older children who understand that he prefers admiration over enthusiastic face-to-face negotiations. He’s a dignified gentleman, not a wrestling partner.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion with movie-star looks, a soft fluffy coat, and a heart that just needs a moment to open, Big Handsome Boy is ready to trade his past for a forever home. All he needs now is a couch, some gentle hands, and someone who appreciates a tuxedo that never goes out of style.

BHB’s adoption fee of $150 includes FVRCP vaccines, a microchip and neuter surgery. If you would like to set up a Meet & Greet and be considered for adoption, please click on the button with the pet’s name to fill out an application. Someone will contact you within 24 hours. Anthem Pets depends on amazing fosters to care for pets and if your adoption application is approved, the Meet & Greet for this pet will take place at the foster’s home in Scottsdale, AZ.

NOTE: Only Arizona based adoption inquiries will be considered.

If you have difficulty with the application, please email us at Rescue@AnthemPets.org.
