Gretl is one of three beautiful black cats rescued in January after being left to face freezing temperatures outside. Since coming into foster care and receiving the medical attention she needed, she’s traded survival mode for soft beds, warm sunshine, and a growing love for people.
She may be shy for a moment, but she warms up quickly with gentle talking and pets. Once she feels safe, Gretl becomes affectionate and chatty, leaning into your hand and reaching out with her paw to ask for more attention. Being picked up isn’t her favorite, but she’s starting to enjoy lap time on her own terms.
Gretl is a laid-back girl who does well with other cats or would be happy as your one and only. After everything she’s been through, she is ready for a warm, loving home where she will always be safe and cherished.
