Hello, I`m Luigi! I`m about 1.5 years old and weigh 70 pounds.
** I still need to be neutered so when my forever family decides to adopt me I will be placed on hold. Then you can come pick me up after my surgery. **
Do you like...
Dogs? I have not had a chance to meet any other dogs here at the shelter, so staff are unsure how I would do. Please bring any dogs in the home to meet me prior to adoption.
Cats? Unknown. I would need a slow supervised intro to see if I could get along with a kitty.
Kids? Unknown. I have been handling sensitive here at the shelter and would like to start off with kiddos old enough to give me space. (13+)
Anything else you`d like us to know, Luigi? I`m a fun loving guy once I open up! I can be a little nervous, and would benefit from a patient home.
I came into the shelter as a surrender and the above information is all recommendations based on my previous history and the behavior seen at the shelter. Expect to learn more about me after adoption.

Greenhill Humane Society has been caring for animals in Lane County since 1944. We operate the only animal shelter within the Eugene/Springfield area. Our programs include animal adoptions; reuniting lost animals with their families; disaster response; crisis care boarding in situations of domestic violence, medical emergencies, and other crisis situations; spay/neuter for free roaming, un-owned community cats; a pet pantry; on-site volunteer opportunities; foster care and humane education.
Last year, we helped reunite or find new loving homes for 2,826 animals. In addition, we provided 469 cat spay/neuter surgeries to assist cat caregivers in reducing feral cat over-population.
Greenhill is a private non-profit and relies on donations for a majority of its budget. The generosity of our local community enables us to provide a high level of care to lost, abandoned, and neglected animals while at the same time helping pet owners in need.
