Shady is a graceful senior lady who has spent her whole life being loved by her family. When her person grew up and moved out with his own children, his new apartment sadly didn’t allow pets. His mother, who had been caring for Shady, could no longer keep up with the grooming her long black fur requires, so Shady came to WARL in hopes of finding a peaceful, loving retirement home.
This beautiful girl is as sweet and laid-back as they come. She has plenty of affection to offer and enjoys quiet companionship. Shady is the kind of cat who would be perfectly content lounging by a sunny window, relaxing on a cozy blanket, and soaking up gentle attention from her favorite humans.
Shady previously lived with children, cats, and dogs and did well with them, but at her age, she may simply prefer a calm home where she can enjoy her golden years in comfort. A single person or a couple. Perhaps with occasional visits from grandchildren would be a wonderful match for her.
