Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Byrdie. I`m a handsome gentleman who came to the shelter from a house that had too many cats. I decided it was time to secure a fan club of my own. I’m a big fan of pouncing, playing, and anything that involves a little roughhousing. If it moves, I’m on it. If it doesn’t move, I might swat it just to be sure. Wand toys, laser pointers, catnip are my favorites. I like to stay active, athletic, and slightly dramatic. I may even wake you up at 5am for my morning meal (thank my internal alarm).
Once I’ve burned off some energy, you’ll see my gentler side. I may take a minute to warm up, but when I decide you’re my person, I’m all in. I’ll lounge beside you (or on you), supervise your daily activities, and make sure you never feel alone again. Free time becomes “together time,” and I think that’s a fair trade. I enjoy spending time with kids once I’m comfortable, and I’d happily consider sharing my home with another pet, cat or dog! I do love a good scratcher and a tall place to climb, and I’m not shy about announcing when a door has been closed between us. I`ll tell you how badly I miss you only to pretend I wasn’t just singing you a heartfelt ballad when you open it.
If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, slightly theatrical companion with a soft spot for ear pets, I’m ready to meet you. Apply to meet me!
