What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Duke is an incredibly well-behaved dog who is beloved by his owner. A recent medical diagnoses for the owner has caused his owner to no longer be able to care for him for the length of his life. Duke is a very happy, smart, loyal and cuddly dog. He likes to get about 30 minutes of exercise a day and cuddle and relax otherwise. Duke is house trained, crate trained, up to date on all his shots and has no medical issues. While Duke is a big dog, he is very obedient, is prong collar trained, ECollar trained, and knows the following commands; sit, crate, out(release a toy or item), yuck(to stop eating something he should not be), down, up(jumps on human shoulders), wait, stay, ok(release word) and spin.
He has been well-socialized and has lived in both the city and country, with and without his own yard. Duke has lived with other big dogs with no issues. Duke is a great running partner, as well. Duke does not like small dogs and prefers small children to keep their distance.
