My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dahlia, the charming little furball with a white and gray coat, just 8 months young.  She has been in foster since she was 3.5 months young.  She’s a bit of a wallflower around humans but is a playful whirlwind with her feline pals. Dahlia dreams of a forever home with a fellow kitty or alongside one of her foster buddies, where she can blossom with a sprinkle of patience and a pinch of love.   Dahlia will only be adopted as an indoor family pet. She has been spayed, tested negative for fe-leuk/FIV, has been dewormed and is up to date on all her age-appropriate shots. For more information on Dahlia or to adopt her, please text any question to foster mom, Jackie at 320-761-0256 or you can apply at  https://bit.ly/HSSCJackiesapp . Dahlia’s adoption fee is $75 plus tax ($80.16), but if she is adopted with another cat the adoption fee is reduced to $50 per cat plus tax (total $106.88).

Additional adoption info

We spay/neuter all of our adult pets before adoption. Adoption fees begin at $95 for dogs, but vary depending upon the desirability of the dog, purebreds, etc. Each foster home interviews and decides upon the adoptive families for the pet.

Go meet their pets

Each foster home's contact number and name is listed on their respective foster pet. When calls come in, the foster family arranges for a visit.

More about this rescue

We simply have a cell phone and 4 or 5 foster homes. Swift County has no other means to help the animal population in need. Many people in rural areas simply don't care much about animal welfare, so a few of us have to!
