My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Simon
Simon is a gentle, silly, and handsome-as-ever one-year-old husky looking for a loving forever home. He can be shy at first, but it doesn't take long for his curious, chatty, and playful personality to shine through. He adores chewing and tossing his bully sticks in the air, going on long walks with endless stops to sniff, and unleashing zoomies when he is feeling energetic.

While at his temporary foster home, he quickly mastered potty training and leash walking within just the first week. Each day, Simon grew more confident including pawing at us for gentle belly rubs and play time, chasing a tennis ball around, and playing a bit of tug-of-war. Simon loves to play with other big dogs and would do well in a home with another pup to play with and keep him company.

Simon is a great dog that just needs a calm, patient, and loving home to help bring him out of his shell more. He is very curious and enjoys laying near you or sitting next to you on the couch. Simon sometimes gets nervous being alone and gets a little chewy, so he may benefit from crate training with some positive reinforcement (he loves chicken and steak but kibble will also do). A fenced yard would also be a dream for him, giving him space to explore and soak in all the wonderful outdoor scents.

He is beyond cute and would be such a rewarding and fun pup to welcome in your home!____Please Note: We ask that an application be filled out before coming to the shelter. If pre approved, a meeting with the animal will be set up.
