Andong is a small 5.5 kg Spaniel mix boy, about six years old. I may be little, but I have the softest eyes and what everyone says is a smile that never fades. When I see people, I don’t hesitate — I open my heart first.
In the spring of 2025, during the large wildfires in Uiseong near Andong, my world was very confusing and scary. I was living as a stray at the time and was thankfully rescued. Even through all that chaos, I never stopped believing in people. After I arrived at the shelter, I adjusted more quickly than anyone expected. It was as if I was saying, “It’s okay now. I’m safe.”
I truly love both people and other dogs. When I meet someone new, I might even roll over to show my belly — that’s how much I trust. I express my happiness with my whole body. My favorite place in the world is on your lap, leaning into you quietly… and just when you least expect it, I’ll melt your heart with a sweet little kiss.
My energy level is just right — not too high, not too low. I enjoy walks and playing with a ball, but after some fun, I always choose to settle down right beside my person. I already understand basic hand signals like “sit” and “paw,” and I’m very food-motivated and eager to learn.
I’m house-trained and usually very good about going potty outside. In a brand-new place, I might have a small accident at first because I get a little nervous. But if you give me a little patience and reassurance during the adjustment period, I’ll quickly feel secure again.
I went through a big, frightening experience with the wildfire, but I chose to stay bright. I chose to keep trusting. I offer love before anything else.
Now I’m just waiting for my forever family — someone who will protect the trust I still carry in my heart. I hope my second chapter begins in your warm arms.
