My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kaya, a sunny little orange tabby with a gentle heart and a playful spark. Born around 10/18/25, this domestic short hair sweetheart is the perfect blend of soft-spoken charm and kitten zoomies. She may let her sister Toast handle the talk show hosting duties, but Kaya is more than happy to be the thoughtful co-host who wins everyone over behind the scenes.

Kaya has been around both men and women and does just fine with everyone. She can be a little shy at first, preferring to take a moment to assess her audience before making her grand entrance. But give her a little time and you will see her confidence bloom. Before long, she will be approaching you on her own, especially if you happen to call her name. She happily accepts pets and handling, and once she’s comfortable, she’ll come right over, purring sweetly and nuzzling your leg or hand like she’s known you forever.

She is curious about other cats and has shown interest in getting close to them, even if she takes a slightly more polite approach than her sister. Because she thrives with companionship and playful interaction, Kaya must be adopted into a home with another kitten or young cat. A feline friend gives her the confidence to explore, play, and fully embrace her kitten energy.

And speaking of energy, Kaya has plenty of it. She loves batting around toys, especially the famous handmade pipe cleaner twister toy, and she’s a big fan of the cat tunnel where she can dash in and out like a tiny striped comet. She also has a refined palate and would like it noted that Churu treats are, in her professional opinion, the pinnacle of cuisine. After an enthusiastic play session with Toast or her kitten pals, Kaya has mastered the art of the dramatic flop, plopping onto her bed and snoozing for hours as if she has just completed an Olympic event.

Kaya is a sweet, slightly bashful girl who blossoms into an affectionate, playful companion once she feels at home. If you’re looking for a kitten who will grow more loving by the day, keep you entertained with bursts of orange-fueled energy, and happily curl up for a well-earned nap afterward, Kaya is ready to brighten your life. Just be sure she has a feline friend by her side, and she’ll truly thrive.
