My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Milo!

Milo is basically a living teddy bear - a big, plush, happy boy with the softest fur and the sweetest personality to match.

He's a champion sunbather and can often be found stretched out in the coziest spot he can find. That said, don't let his laid-back vibe fool you - Milo still gets the occasional burst of zoomies! The hallway carpet is his personal racetrack, and when he gets going it's full "zoom zoom" mode.

Milo has a history of urinary cystitis, so it is very important that he remains on a prescribed urinary diet for life to keep his bladder healthy and functioning well. As long as he stays on his special food, he is currently doing well health-wise and feeling great.

He truly loves people and thrives on companionship. Milo enjoys sitting on laps, snuggling up for cuddles, and sleeping right beside his pawrents at night. He's a devoted, affectionate boy who wants to be part of your daily life.

If you're looking for a fluffy, cuddly companion with a big heart (and a big purr), Milo Man is ready to meet you.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
