Skye (estimated birthdate 1/26/2024) is a beautiful cat with soft white coat accented by contrasting black patches. True to her name, she has a calm, peaceful presence and is a low-key, easygoing girl who prefers companionship over chaos. While she’s not particularly interested in toys or high-energy play sessions, she truly shines when it comes to simply being near her people. She loves to lounge beside you, keep you company while you read or watch TV, and gently remind you that you’re never alone. Her favorite activity? Quietly hanging out and soaking up affection. Skye enjoys being petted and will happily lean into your hand for more love. While she doesn't love being picked up, she tolerates it gracefully and doesn’t fuss. When Skye gets especially happy or excited, she makes biscuits. Her little paws knead away with pure contentment.
Because of Skye’s gentle and mellow nature, she would likely do well with respectful, gentle children who understand how to handle a cat kindly. We’re not yet sure how she feels about other cats or dogs, so slow introductions would be best if there are other pets in the home.

Once you have chosen a pet from online or visited at one of our adoption centers, you may decide to submit an application.

Interview
Your application will be acknowledged and a request made for a convenient time to set up a phone interview.

Home Check
We do not visit your home, but we do check vet and personal references.
4.
Approve Application
Once approved, you will meet with our adoption manager, sign your contract, pay your $175 donation fee, and pick up your new baby!

Adoption application is required. If approved for an adoption there is an adoption contract and a $175.00/$400.00 adoption fee. The $175.00 adoption fee for cats includes the spay/neuter, AKC micro-chipping, FIV/FeLV testing (Feline) or Heartworm testing (Canine), deworming, de-fleaing and vaccines.
