My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Blue – The Biscuit-Making Lap King with Two Stunning Eyes

With his striking heterochromia (two different colored eyes) Blue is truly unforgettable from the very first glance. Those beautiful, mismatched eyes tell a story of resilience, and if you look closely, you’ll see just how much love this handsome boy has to give. Once a stray braving the cold outdoors, Blue spent many long months surviving on his own. Although he was previously adopted, he sadly lost his owner when they passed away and he was returned to the streets. Blue was heartbreakingly skinny and scared when he was rescued, but through it all he has remained the sweetest, most devoted soul. Thanks to FFF and his loving foster mom, he is now healthy, safe, and ready to love again.

Blue will thrive in a quiet, calm home with humans who are around often to give him the attention he craves. Having survived outside, loud noises can be triggering for him, so he truly feels safest in peaceful environments. He takes a little time to warm up to new people and may hide when unfamiliar guests visit, but once he knows you, he is your loyal shadow for life. He can do well as a solo cat, soaking up all the love for himself, but he may also enjoy another feline friend. He was shy at first with the resident cats in his foster home, but once the toys came out, playtime helped him build confidence and foster kitty friendships.

This boy is the definition of a velcro cat. Blue wants to be near his people at all times — preferably in your lap. He is a total cuddlebug who loves being held, snuggled, and adored. His foster mom’s favorite story says it all: she once fell asleep on the couch and woke up to Blue happily making biscuits on her back. She says she’ll miss his endless kneading and how incredibly sweet and loving he is. And those biscuits? He gives A LOT of them. Consider yourself warned (and blessed).

Blue is playful and active, too. He loves stringy toys he can leap through the air after, and little tossable toys that he can chase across the room. He enjoys lounging in his cat tree, watching “cat TV,” and offering his very vocal opinions about life in general...this guy is a chatterbox! He’s also highly food motivated — treats are definitely the way to his heart!

More than anything, Blue just wants to be loved. After experiencing the loss of his beloved owner and surviving the outdoors, he deserves a forever home filled with warmth, love, safety, and endless cuddles. If you’re looking for a devoted lap cat with dazzling eyes, a huge heart, and the softest biscuits in town, Blue is ready to make himself right at home — preferably on your lap.

Additional adoption info

Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines.  We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion!

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:
http://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.

We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy!  Everything from the application, to payment, to the contract is online.  Additionally, all of the cats records will be placed in your free Petlovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized.
