This helps Fulton County Animal Center with pet care costs.
Meet Lucky!
Lucky is approximately 1 1/2 years old. He is a very handsome, social and loving guy.
Lucky was found as a stray, who was very sick at the time. His finder took him in to their personal veterinarian to have him checked out. Lucky did test positive for the Feline Leukemia Virus and is looking for a specific home to live out his life.
FeLV - Feline Leukemia Virus is no longer an immediate death sentence for a cat testing positive for the virus. Cats living with FeLV can live pretty normal lives, and can co-exist with animals of other species and cats also living with FeLV.
Once a cat has been diagnosed with FeLV, careful monitoring of weight, appetite, activity level, elimination habits, appearance of the mouth and eyes, and behavior is an important part of managing this disease. Any signs of abnormality in any of these areas should prompt immediate consultation with a veterinarian.
