DOB 9/28/2021 Smokey G is the sweetest boy. He absolutely LOVES to cuddle. His foster mom works from home, and Smokey G does his best to keep her unproductive by curling up in her lap all day and begging for snuggles. He’s affectionate, devoted, and wants nothing more than to be close to his person. He is the king of biscuit making. When you come home from work he will be the first to tell you about his day. His stories will include how many squirrels he counted out the window and which window has the best sunbeam for napping. At bedtime, he will purr you a love song as you both drift off to sleep.
He loves to play and “hunt” his toys! Because he plays enthusiastically (and sometimes a bit rough), he would do best in a home without young children.
Smokey G was diagnosed with FIV and ocular FIP. He has successfully completed his treatment for his FIP on February 6. He would thrive as an only cat, unless the resident cat is also FIV+ and comfortable with playful energy.
His eye has improved significantly with treatment, but the damage from ocular FIP was unfortunately permanent. It will remain slightly abnormal in appearance. The good news is that his vet is not concerned — there is no pain, no pressure, and no need for removal. He is likely blind in that eye, but it does not affect his quality of life. He is still focused on being your one and only fluffy snuggle bunny. He is simply the best boy and guearanteed to steal your heart (and lap).
