These adorable bonded brothers are on the hunt for a forever home — together, of course! Milo and Otis came to our shelter when their owner was no longer able to care for them. They were purchased from a breeder as babies and have been side by side their entire lives. At about 14 months old, these sweet boys are in their prime and ready to share all their love (and snack-time enthusiasm!) with a new family.
Milo (gray and white) is the shy sweetheart of the duo. He tends to look to his big brother for reassurance and may scurry away at first — but don’t let that fool you. He has never shown any aggression; he simply needs a little patience and kindness to realize that humans aren’t so scary after all. Once he feels safe, his gentle personality truly shines.
Otis, on the other hand, is the confident explorer! Brave, curious, and always ready for adventure, Otis is Milo’s biggest cheerleader. He’s constantly reassuring his brother that everything is okay, and their bond is truly heartwarming to watch.
These boys spend their days enjoying tasty treats, cozy naps, and climbing adventures. They are currently living in a double-tier Critter Nation cage — an ideal setup since rats need plenty of space to climb, explore, and stay mentally stimulated both inside and outside of their enclosure.
Rats are incredibly intelligent, affectionate, and interactive pets. They form strong bonds with their people and bring so much personality into a home. Milo and Otis are looking for a family who will appreciate their sweet dynamic and give them the love and enrichment they deserve.
If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this charming pair, please fill out an adoption application today. Milo and Otis can’t wait to meet you! 🐭✨
