Colette’s story began at Devore Animal Shelter in June 2024, where she and her siblings were admitted alongside their devoted mother, Momma Whiskers Winn. The kittens were just five weeks old at the time, and the entire family soon became ill. Due to their fragile condition, they faced euthanasia while still at the shelter. Before that could happen, Kitty Devore Rescue stepped in and brought the family into our foster care program. They were lovingly nursed back to health by a foster parent in California and, once strong enough to travel, made the journey together to Seattle, Washington, where they settled into their long-term foster home. Colette, the tiniest of the litter, needed a little extra time to fully recover, but she has blossomed beautifully.
Today, Colette is healthy, active, and full of personality. Though she can be a bit shy when first meeting new people, it doesn’t take long for her true nature to shine through. She is the most vocal of Momma Whiskers Winn’s kittens and isn’t shy about letting you know when she’d like attention, affection, or dinner served promptly. Petite and playful, she especially enjoys romping with her mom and her brother Wookie. She has just the right amount of sass wrapped up in a sweet, loving little package.
If you’re looking for a small but spirited companion who will grow into a devoted and engaging family member, Colette may be the perfect match for you. To learn more about Colette or to apply for adoption, please visit www.kittydevorerescue.org to complete and submit an adoption application.
Please note: Colette is one of our Seattle kitties and is only available to adopters in the Seattle or King County, WA, area.

Our adoption fee is $200.00 for one cat, and $375 for two.
Please Note the Following Adoption Policies:
• We reserve the right to deny any adoption application at our discretion.
• Most of our foster cats are cared for in Southern California. However, we also have foster homes in Northern California, Seattle, WA, and Kalispell, MT. Before applying, please confirm that the kitty you're interested in is located within your state or a nearby supported region.
• With the exception of our fosters located in Seattle and Kalispell, we are unable to adopt to applicants residing outside of California. Please understand that we do not ship cats—our adoptions are local and personal, not transactional.

Kitty Devore Rescue is a close-knit, all-volunteer nonprofit founded in 2011 with one heartfelt mission: to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats and kittens from Devore Animal Shelter in San Bernardino, CA, and surrounding areas. When we began, only a handful of cats ever made it out of the shelter alive. Today, because of our relentless dedication and the shared efforts of fellow rescue partners, that save rate has soared to nearly 90%.
We’re not a shelter—we’re a foster-based family. Each cat we save lives in the loving care of one of our foster guardians, spread across Southern California and beyond, until they’re ready to meet their forever person. Our volunteers balance careers, families, school, and life’s many demands, yet still pour their hearts into rescue work every single day. For many of us, this isn’t just something we do—it’s who we are.
Every adoption is a promise fulfilled. Every donation fuels another chance. And every cat we place in a warm, devoted home is a story of hope come true—for them and for the people who welcome them.
At Kitty Devore Rescue, we believe every life matters, and every cat deserves to be safe, cherished, and loved for a lifetime.
