Ares is a 2-year-old domestic shorthair with the gentlest heart. He can be a little skittish and shy at first, and new environments make him nervous. But underneath that timid exterior is an incredibly loving, affectionate boy who just needs time to feel safe.
Once Ares trusts you, he truly blossoms. He becomes cuddly, devoted, and happiest when he’s being pet. He bonds deeply with his person and thrives on quiet affection. His sweet, calm nature makes him such a comforting companion — the kind of cat who will stay close and form a beautiful, loyal connection.
Ares gets along with older cats and would benefit from having a confident feline friend in the home. He does best with older children (10+) who understand how to respect his space and gentle personality. He’s potty trained and house trained, though he may occasionally need some support and consistency with litter box habits (he sometimes poops outside the box). Patience and routine will go a long way in helping him succeed.

He can adapt to an apartment, townhome, or house, as long as the environment is peaceful and predictable.

All Dogs / Puppies / Cats / Kittens are up to date on age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, flea/heart worm prevention, and are microchipped prior to adoption. If you are meeting a puppy or kitten that is not ready for adoption there may be a waiting period until they are fully ready to go home.
Adoption fee - Along with the individual animals vetting and daily care costs, the adoption fee helps Mercy Full Project cover additional vet bills, maintain their facility, and cover the cost of their operations in order to rescue more animals in need.
**Our companions MUST live in your home as part of your family.
