Meet Potato
This beautiful boy — one of our favorite breeds — is now safe with Belle’s Buds Rescue.
Potato was found being given away, and thankfully Cayte stepped in right when he needed someone most. Because of her, his story is already changing.
So far, we are learning that Potato is pure sweetness.
Gentle. Quiet. Soft-hearted.
But it’s also clear his past wasn’t kind.
He is very fearful of people and will cower when approached, as if he expects something bad to happen. It’s heartbreaking to see such a sweet soul already carrying that kind of fear.
And yet… his true nature shines through:
Calm with other dogs
Respectful around cats
Comfortable around farm animals
And incredibly loving once he feels safe
Right now, Potato is decompressing in foster care and learning that humans can be gentle, patient, and safe.
Dogs like him don’t need fixing —
they just need time, kindness, and someone willing to show them the world can be soft again.
We can’t wait to watch this sweet boy blossom.

We are foster based so once you find a pet either online or at one of our adoption events please submit an application bit.ly/BellesBudsApp
Interview
Once the application is processed we will set up a phone interview and meet and greet (depending on your location).
Meet the Pet
Once the application is approved, we will set up a meet and greet. This varies either at your house, with your pet, or at fosters house.
Home Check
We require either a home video/pictures or a home visit.
Sign Adoption Contract
If all goes well with application and meet and greet and we determine your home is the right fit for the dog, we have a contract to sign.
Pay Fee
Our adoption fee goes towards the dogs vetting. All dogs leave fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered (if old enough)
