My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Benny – The Definition of Resilient 💙

Benny’s story didn’t start out easy. During the ice storms, he was found chained to a post with no shelter, no food, and no water. Despite everything he’s been through, Benny has chosen love over fear—and it shows in everything he does.

This sweet boy is one of the most social and friendly dogs you’ll ever meet. He loves people, thrives on attention, and greets everyone like they’re an old friend. Benny has a gentle soul and a big heart, and all he wants now is what he’s always deserved: a warm home, a soft place to rest, and a family who will never leave him behind.

Benny is proof that even after a rough start, a dog can still be full of joy, trust, and love. He’s ready to give his whole heart to someone special—could that be you? 🐾

🐾 Noah’s Arc Adoption Process

At Noah’s Arc, our goal is simple: the right home for every dog and cat. We take our time to ensure each adoption is a lifelong match for both the animal and the family.

1️⃣ Submit an Adoption Application

Start by completing our adoption application. This helps us learn about your home, lifestyle, experience, and what you’re looking for in a pet.

2️⃣ Application Review

Our team carefully reviews each application. We may contact you for clarification, additional information, or references (including veterinary and/or landlord verification if applicable).

3️⃣ Meet & Greet

Once approved, we schedule a meet-and-greet with the pet.

All household members should attend.

If you have other dogs, we require a dog-to-dog introduction.

This step ensures everyone feels comfortable and it’s a good match.

4️⃣ Home Check (If Required)

In some cases, we may conduct a home visit (virtual or in person) to ensure a safe and appropriate environment.

5️⃣ Adoption Approval & Contract

If it’s a match, we finalize the adoption agreement and collect the adoption fee. Our animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and up to date on preventatives prior to adoption (unless otherwise noted).

6️⃣ Take Your New Best Friend Home 🏡

Once paperwork is complete, your new family member goes home! We provide transition tips and remain available for support.

💛 Our Commitment

We are committed to lifelong placements. If for any reason an adopter cannot keep their pet, the animal must be returned to Noah’s Arc.

Go meet their pets

Noah’s Arc is a foster-based rescue, so our pets are cared for in loving foster homes throughout East Tennessee. Because of this, meet-and-greets are scheduled by approved application to ensure the best match for both the pet and adopter.

We also participate in local adoption events throughout the year at pet supply stores and community venues in the Lakeway and surrounding East TN areas. Event details are always posted on our Facebook page, so be sure to follow us for updates!

To meet one of our available pets, please submit an adoption application, and our team will be in touch to schedule a time to connect.

More about this rescue

🐾 About Noah’s Arc

Noah’s Arc is a foster-based animal rescue dedicated to giving homeless dogs and cats a second chance at life. Based in East Tennessee, we are powered entirely by volunteers who believe every animal deserves safety, compassion, and a loving forever home.

Many of the animals who come to us have faced neglect, abandonment, or difficult circumstances. Through dedicated foster homes, we provide medical care, proper nutrition, structure, and — most importantly — love. This allows us to truly get to know each pet’s personality so we can thoughtfully match them with the right family.

We are committed to responsible, lifelong placements. Every animal in our care is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and receives appropriate veterinary care prior to adoption (unless otherwise noted). Our adoption process is designed to ensure the best possible fit for both the animal and adopter.

Beyond rescue, we are passionate about education, advocacy, and strengthening our community’s commitment to animal welfare. We believe rescue is not just about saving lives — it’s about changing them.

When you adopt from Noah’s Arc, you’re not just gaining a pet — you’re becoming part of a mission built on compassion, accountability, and hope.

💛 Thank you for supporting rescue. Together, we are making a difference — one life at a time.
