💦🐾 Meet Rio — Splash Specialist & Full-Time Fun Coordinator! 🐾💦

4 Months Old • Female • Lab/ Blue Lacy Mix • Future 50ish lbs of Awesome

Rio and her littermates were found dumped at a hunting cabin in rural Texas — no running water, no comforts, no explanation. And yet somehow? This girl decided that life is AMAZING and she plans to live every second of it at full volume.

At 4 months old, Rio is the definition of happy chaos wrapped in a shiny puppy coat. She’s outgoing, social, wildly people-oriented, and firmly believes that strangers are simply friends she hasn’t tackled with kisses yet.

Being a Lab/ Blue Lacy mix, she’s got the brains, the athleticism, and the “let’s go do something!” attitude. She’ll likely grow into a fabulous 50-pound adventure buddy — big enough for hiking trails and lake days, compact enough to still claim lap privileges (she doesn't seem to know she won’t be this small forever).

Things Rio Loves:
• Water. All water. Any water. If it’s wet, she’s in it.
• Other dogs — instant besties.
• People — even better besties.
• Running for no reason.
• Sticks she absolutely does not need but must carry.
• Investigating everything.

Puppy shenanigans included at no extra charge:
• Zoomies that defy physics
• Sudden bursts of “I forgot what I was doing but it’s exciting!”
• Dramatic flops when tired
• Selective hearing when something more interesting is happening
• The classic “Who, me?” face when caught mid-mischief

Through everything she’s been through, Rio has stayed joyful, resilient, and ready to take on the world. She doesn’t dwell on her rough start — she’s too busy planning her next splash session.

She would thrive in an active home that enjoys outdoor adventures, lake days, hikes, runs, or even just backyard playtime. She’s smart, eager to learn, and at the perfect age to soak up training like a sponge (a very wiggly sponge).

Her ideal home:
• Enjoys activity and laughter
• Is ready for puppy energy
• Understands that socks are not safe
• Doesn’t mind a little mud now and then
• Wants a loyal, happy, goofy best friend

Rio isn’t just a puppy — she’s a whole vibe. A splash of joy. A streak of zoomie-powered sunshine. A reminder that life is meant to be lived enthusiastically.

If your life could use more laughter, more adventure, and maybe a little extra water on the floor, Rio is ready to dive in.

👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Rio bring the fun, the splashes, and the puppy magic home 💙🐾
