Meet Stewart! Stewart came into the shelter February 4th transferred from another shelter that was not able to care for him medically. He came into their shelter with a front paw that was swollen almost 3 times the normal size. After a visit to the vet, it was determined that it was not broken but that he had possibly gotten into a scuffle with another animal or hung up on something which caused punctures, swelling and ultimately an abscess. He immediately went into surgery to have the wounds cleaned up and a week later, he’s just about as good as new. We want to note that Stewart is FIV+ so he must go to a strictly indoor home. Stewart is very friendly; he loves people and loves to give headbutts during a good pet sesh. This guy is a shelter favorite! The staff says that he is the purrfect companion. He is always in the mood to talk, purr, snuggle or just take naps. All around solid guy who is going to make the best addition to any family.
