My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Hazel is a shy little Boykin spaniel mix, still a puppy but learning to be a mature dog. In her foster home, she plays hard with her foster siblings that will tolerate her energy. She is an affectionate dog, preferring to be velcroed to her foster mom's hip! She appears to be housebroken and may be crate-trained (although not crated in foster home) She sleeps in her bed by her foster mom's bed all night.

Hazel has a lot of energy and needs a yard/space to be able to run. She likes chew toys and stuffys. She is learning to walk on a leash with harness. Right now, Hazel is about 24 lbs, She is still growing and will be a medium sized dog when full grown.

Not sure about how she is with cats, but she gets along well with other dogs and would probably be a good dog with kids.

Our adoption process is three-fold: submit an application, meet the pet, then arrange for us to do your in-home interview.
Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
Some special circumstances may change the fee; see pet's listing for actual adoption fee.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf.
