Right now, Rudra is still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. Shelter life can be overwhelming, and she tends to keep to herself while she figures things out. But behind those wide, watchful eyes is a cat who simply needs time, patience, and compassion from the right person.
Cats like Rudra often make some of the most rewarding companions. When someone gives them the space to move at their own pace and the kindness to build trust slowly, they can transform in the most beautiful ways.

Pauls Valley Animal Welfare Society a 501c3 was formed to improve the problems of disease, overpopulation & abandonment of stray animals in Garvin County.
Our organization is made up of over 300 members who care about animals. It is an eclectic group varying in race, age, economic and professional levels and religious affiliations. We are, however, single-minded when confronting our community problems of animal cruelty and neglect, overpopulation and the humane treatment in which our strays and homeless dogs and cats are housed. Our goal is to relieve their suffering, do everything in our power to find them homes and provide a decent animal shelter for Garvin County.
