Their adoption process
We require an application, but will do same day adoptions if all the necessary information can be acquired (vet reference, landlord approval). The adoption fee for our dogs is $85, adult cats are $30 and our kittens are $55. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchips, age appropriate vaccinations, a negative heartworm test (dogs) or FIV/Feleuk test (cats) and a 2 week health guarantee.

- Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
- You can come in anytime we are open to meet all of our adoptable animals.
- Submit Application
- You can fill out an application our website https://hspets.org/adoption-application/ or in person.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Once we approve your application, you can take your new family member home the same day you come to the shelter.

The Humane Society of Stillwater operates an adoption guaranteed, nonprofit animal shelter that exists on donations from the public. We house dogs and cats until they are adopted into approved homes. We transfer cats and dogs into our shelter from other shelter's euthanasia lists and we keep them until they pick their forever families.
