My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Matka
Female black and white DSH
Estimated age: almost 2 years old

Matka is a spunky little cat! She's sweet and quirky. She loves watching out windows.

Matka doesn't seem to like other cats much. This might change the longer she's been spayed as the hormones will be gone from her system. At this time, though, we feel she'd be best in an only cat home.

Matka has been returned to us because it has become apparent she is not comfortable around children. We are looking for a child free home for her, older children would be ok.

Backstory: Matka was a pregnant stray cat who was taken in by a family. After some time, she went into labor and sucessfully gave birth to 3 kittens. Unfortunately, a 4th kitten got stuck during birth which is when the family looking after her contacted the rescue as this was an emergency and they were unable to get her emergency care. We luckily had a foster who was able to get them immediately and with her background of being a technician at an emergency hospital, she knew exactly what to do. She was able to gently and safely guide the stuck kitten out which had unfortunately passed away. Thankfully, mom and her 3 other kittens were healthy which everyone was so thankful for.

Medical: All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchipped, given flea/tick prevention and dewormer, FIV/FeLV tested, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption.
