My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dog Name: Macallan

Breed: Mixed

Sex: Male

Age: DOB 1/3/26

Weight: currently 10lbs and gaining

Medical Needs: Remainder of puppy shots, and rabies once old enough. Must be spayed/neutered by the end July 2026. The appointment is included in the adoption fee at one of the clinics we use, and the foster-to-adopt family will need to email GRR to request the appointment when puppy is 18-20 weeks at the clinic closest to them. (Options are Wilmington, Newark, Dover, Georgetown.) Keeping the appointment that’s assigned by the clinic will be a condition of adoption. Foster to adopt families must live within 1 hour of DE and be willing to travel here for the pending appointment.

Housebroken: nope, he’s just a baby. BUT he does head to a pee pad to do his business, and is very smart so learning to go outside shouldn’t take long.

Crate trained: he is currently in a puppy pen with his siblings at night

Good in the car: he’s just a baby and sits in your lap the entire time

Good on a leash: he doesn’t really understand what a leash is for, but will follow his person anywhere so he gets the point

Energy level: currently medium/puppy level

Need a fenced in yard: not yet. He will most likely be a medium-large sized dog so a yard is always helpful, but not a need.

Dog Friendly: yes

If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No

Cat Friendly: yes, but a little intimidated because they’re bigger than him.

Kid Friendly: yes

If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any kid that understands that puppy teeth are sharp

Traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them: Macallan is one of the largest siblings, and definitely the calmest and sweetest. When foster mom comes into the puppy room he is sitting calmly behind his siblings, waiting SO patiently for her to lift him out of the pen for playtime and food-time. Macallan does love to romp and play with his siblings… having them around definitely keeps him from having an old soul. But there are times that he sits down and you can tell that he’s thinking very grown-up thoughts

Fosters Location: Landenberg, PA
