Hi, I’m Waylon ❤️‍🩹

I’m still on a bit of a journey right now. My leg and a few other things have been giving me a hard time, so I’m not quite ready for a forever home yet 🥺 I need a special team of humans to help me with my medical care, and I’m getting the very best care every single day. It has been a long, emotional road, and it has taken a lot financially, physically, and emotionally, but I am surrounded by people who are committed to helping me heal and get stronger 💪

Even though I’m working through some things, I have a whole lot of love to give. I get along with other dogs, and I seem to do well with cats and kids too. I can already tell that when my day comes, I’m going to be the kind of dog who melts your heart 💕 and my story is going to be one for the books 📖 Whoever decides to wait for me and welcome me into their life will be incredibly blessed 🙏🏽

For now, I’m just taking it one day at a time, and I would love for you to follow along on my journey. Your love, support, and encouragement mean the world to me and to the humans helping me heal.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Submit an adoption application on our website. This is found under the "contact" tab.

2.
Approve Application

The adoption application is assigned to screening team and carefully screened. If application meets acceptable criteria it is then approved.

3.
Meet the Pet

Meet and greets are scheduled after an adoption application is approved. All family members and dogs in home must attend the meet and greet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If meet and greet goes well the pet can then be taken home for an adoption trial.

5.
Take the Pet Home

If meet and greet goes well the pet can then be taken home for an adoption trial.

Additional adoption info

Please allow between 7-10 days once your adoption application has been submitted to be screened. You will then receive a decision via email with further steps and who to contact if approved for adoption.

R.E.A.L Rottweiler Rescue was founded in 2003 by a couple with a passion and love for the Rottweiler breed. We are an all volunteer based 501c3 non-profit rescue organization. Our primary focus has been on Rottweilers, but we also rescue medium and large sized dogs of all breeds. We take in homeless rottweilers and work with them in our homes to assess personality, temperament, training and needs. Then place them up for adoption. Our goal is to find not just any home for each dog, but the perfect match for both the dog and its new family. To date, R.E.A.L. has had over 2000 successful adoptions!
